co-ax problem -- Forster says "send it in"

I haven't used my Co-Ax press a lot but today I noticed one of the two guide rods has dropped 1/2" below the other. Also, the small bolt that holds the shell holder jaw block on that same side has broken off at the head.
(evidently because I resized some brass before noticing the guide rod problem)

When I phoned Forster, the tech said it was a problem he'd never heard of before and didn't know what to tell me other than to send it in to them for repair. For several reasons I'd rather do it myself. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Uh-oh, it's one of those days when you do something dumb and then have to explain it. OK, what really happened was that the otherguide rod raised up 1/2 inch. So a gentle tapping on top of the raised rod with a rubber mallet brought it even. Problem solved.
