Alan, these are Mayfran's for Okuma's.Chip conveyors with coolant tank . Designs are machine specific.
CNC machines don’t build stuff they make stuff, mostly money.What are we building with said machines?
I can smell this picture. At least when the fluid gets old.Those that know CNC know what these are for. And where this is headed......
Good shootin' -Al

The water system is going in next. It will be 4-5 weeks until the utility company sites the 3 phase transformer. Until then, a diesel generator will be plugged in to the QD to get them up and running for the Okuma reps to do the QC and training.Now you get to pull power & air to it.
Gee, and I'm stuck with a 2004 Mazak Quickturn 250 that the kid on nightshift crashes at least weekly.![]()
The other week we had the people that work on our machines realigned the turret & both spindles on a Friday.
Monday morning I come in to a sign on the door. "Do not use!"
He crashed it hard that Friday evening.
Material came out of the jaws. Tore a tool holder out of the turret. Put a 3" gash in the way covers. And bent the arm on the touch setter.
@AINhus,
What are we making with said machines?
True. And always test you water you cut your coolant with, I learned a lesson on that several years ago, an expensive one.I was speaking to a very famous gunsmith the other day and he said those CNC machines are really cool until you break it. Or have to maintain it. Or anything other than just run it they are really cool as long as they are running
You mean your supposed to be able to see the bottom of a clean 5gal bucket through the water??True. And always test you water you cut your coolant with, I learned a lesson on that several years ago, an expensive one.

Correction. CNC machines mostly make a lot of debt for a long time until the products they produce eventually recover the initial purchase price and maintenance/tooling costCNC machines don’t build stuff they make stuff, mostly money.
