Clymer...had it been sold at some point?

Today I got a Clymer .30-06 FIELD Gauge from Brownells. I opened up the package and noticed something instantly. The gauge looked "WIRD", and we are talking "Forrester" like looking, nothing like the gauges I got from them years ago. Is it possible that "Forrester" bought them and changed the Clymer stuff to look "simular" to their stuff?

Yes, of course they are. I never said they weren't. They could have been sold and remained in business, but have come under the whims of other ownership.

They have sold twice since Clymer had it that I know of. Once when Clymer originally sold the business and once after that. Could be more. Can't comment on the gauges.

Do you have a rough date (year or years) when the first of the sales that you know of had happened?

My memory is getting old..............but I'm guessing late 90's

Thanks. My first Clymer gauges were PROBABLY from not too long after that.
