click when closing bolt on a stolle atlas

I will be calling Kelbly’s in the morning to ask about this but I would like some input first so I know more than I do when I talk to them.
I have an Atlas single shot action and jewel trigger. I am assuming this is some sort of timing issue. When closing the bolt unless I am pushing forward on the bolt with some effort when closing it I get a click that is heard and felt about the time the locking lugs cam from the helix to the lug seats.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas?
The action has never seen a barrel and the trigger is new as well if this makes any difference.

If when it clicks on closing the firing pin is protrudeing from the front of the bolt then you are just jumping the sear. That is what I would check. I have that issue on several 22lr target guns that I bought that had had the sear engagment adjusted way down. Easy fix but then again I didn't pay big bucks for a custom action.

Just a shot in the dark but I seem to remember my stolles clicking when the extracter slid over the rim. That was with out bumping the shoulders.. Don't know how to stop it or if it matters. Try seating a shell under the extractor ( yeah, well one of them is right) b4 inserting the bolt.

Work and interruptions have kept me from calling Kelblys but it did get the action to my gun smith and he told me it wasn’t anything to worry about and had me feel his alpine witch felt similar but a lot smoother. He told me it was because the leading edge of the lugs was sharper on the Atlas and not polished as well as the alpine. He suggested that I stone just the leading edge or corner edge a little so I did and it was better. A little polishing of just the corner and I am hopping it will be as smooth as I feel it should.

I feel and hear it with or with out a case.

I can not honestly say but I will check, it is with the smith now or I would look and see. I want to say no it doesn’t since I didn’t see anything odd happening when I first felt it after installing the trigger but I can not say for sure one way or the other until I take another look.
