Clear coat and bedding weight?

I have watched the weigh in at several matches and the majority of the guns come right down to within a couple of ounces. My question is I have two new stocks to finish and bed the actions. When you are lightning your stocks and getting ready for final sand and finish and you know you are going to be close because of your stock weight. How much do you allow for clearcoat and bedding compound so that you’re safe when you assemble everything?

When I do a pillar bedded bolt in, 4 oz. is about average for two aluminum pillars (3/4" & 5/8"), screws and bedding compound. Can't help with the clear weight.

Good shootin' :) -Al
