cleaning reloading press

what is the best lube to use after you clean your reloading press? i cleaned off all the lube now i need to relube it.

I use white lithium grease on the linkages and a light coat of WD 40 on the ram, the latter of which allows the ram to move smoothly.

Don't forget to ocassionally check and clean the shell holders for accumulated debris

I would add to some of the above suggetions, for exposed (non-painted) metal surfaces that might rust (such at the handle on a Rock-Chucker), I recommend Eezox. Put a couple coats on allowing the Eezox to dry between coats. It will leave a dry film that is a very effective rustblocker and it will not be greasy or oily so it won't attract grit or dust.

Grease is for ball joints and tie rod ends. Mobil 1 goes in my Vette. 50 wt. used to go in one of my dirt bikes. All will gum up and mix with carbon very well. WD, Liquid Wrench and most light gun lubes will do the job just fine. Later! Frank

Bottom line is that it is not a "High Demand" lube situation. Just about anything will work. I always have gun/bolt grease and Kroil close by so that's what get used! Clean and re-lube when it gets dirty..... ;)

Ditto. Eezox, although not easy to find, is amazingly effective stuff. Check an article comparing it and other products in rust prevention. Published on this very forum (thanks, Paul!!).
