Cleaning brass with Montana Extreme

Has anybody ever put a teaspoonful of Montana Extreme in a vibratory bowl full of walnut hulls and then polished their brass?

I have used mineral spirits for years. It helps but is still a slow process. Works even better at removing residual case lube.

I wonder if Montana Extreme, would not improve the quality of cleaning brass. Then one could rinse the brass with water to remove any residual Montana Extreme.

Any ideas if this would this clean brass better and/or faster?

Rustystud-Over time this would eat away at the brass. I would be afraid of the primer pockets getting bigger. When I clean with material that can possibly eat at the brass I leave the primer in until the cleaning is done and then promptly remove the primer and clean the pockets by hand.

Most Brass polishes have some quantity of amonia in them. And I was thinking about a quick polishing and then a rincing. Most folks don't realize how abbrasive walnut hulls are. I have used them as a blasting media and you have to wear heavy protective gear. I also considered trying 250 grit glass beads. in a vivratory bowl.

Your comments are exactly what I was wanting. A second set of eyes and minds to think about better solutions, no puns intended.

Nate, most brass doesn't get subjected to 60,000psi on a regular basis
