Cleaning a Revolver

Thanks all you guys for your suggestions. I am cleaning up a S&W 629 classic. If you are familiar with the finish, it isn't a high shine chrome polished surface, and I don't plan on getting all the scuffs and scratches out of it, just the "seasoning" as someone put it.

I see little reason to clean it, as the next to cylinders full will just put it back on.
All my FA's and SW have them and I see no ill effect from it.
If a buyer will whine about that on a SS gun that is used, he will whine about plenty more for sure.

Bore Tech C4 carbon solvent has taken the front of my stainless revolver cylinders to clean.

Play with it and do a little rubbing. My may be skeptical but you also may be surprised.
