Cleaning a moly barrel with out removing the moly

hi i have just read some where that if i shoot moly bullets through a clean barrel to cote it with moly Is wrong.
It said i should use moly cream in the barrel first, is this right?
Also it said to use the moly cream every 1000 shots.
Would the cleaning of the barrel not take out the moly?
Could some one tell me the correct way to use moly and how to clean my barrel.
Is there a way to clean the barrel with out taking out the moly and having to start over again

Start with a clean (down to bare metal) then soak a patch in alcohol (denatured, don't waste the good stuff) and then tap some moly on the patch. Coat patch on all sides. Run through bore about 20 strokes (NOT in CHAMBER, use bore guide). Do it again, make sure patch is snug but not hard to run down bore. I used that or an aerosol moly but almost same method using hBN now. With aerosol, I warm barrel with hair dryer then plug chamber with a VFG pellet(wool pellet)Then spray down muzzle 4x turn 90* every time and using a 1 second burst of moly or hBN. then attach rod to plug and burnish in about 20 strokes.

Just shoot moly coated bullets, clean with Kroil only, but use some JB Compound every couple hundred rounds. That's all you ever have to do.

IF you only shoot moly coated bullets ... how long do you think it will take to coat bore ? How much moly is on a bullet ? That is why I coat the bore then shoot moly bullets. Less time to settle down ... IMO

If you want to use projectiles to coat your bore it's going to take a nominal 25 to 30 rounds to accomplish.
Buy Moly Paste. Swab it in and out of the bore until you feel resistance. Remove the swab. First shot does the job.
That's it.

i cant get Kroil in England as far as i have looked . so if you clean the bore will you need to re cote the bore every time
and do you clean even if you only shot several shots?

I clean based on what the Hawkeye Borescope tells me. The first sign of copper justifies cleaning. Usual is an easy 4 to 500 rounds, depending on your ICP procedure.
