Just asked a simple question about the rules which state five a year, I only had three. I was trying to buy not sell, in fact I think all my adds were want adds not sale adds. So all you assholes can go piss up a rope.

Can we drop this paid membership stuff? Can we add it to the no political threads rule? Either make it a paid membership site or not. If it’s not a paid membership site, then everyone needs to quit hollering about it. If you make a contribution, great, thank you. But don’t make non paying members feel bad about it. I understand longcarbine was out of line, but this is the 4th thread I’ve read about this stuff. Do something nice to help this site and others out, don’t do it to morally elevate yourselves. This us against them crap is getting old. We have enough of that dealing with the Antis.

I tend to agree that berating people is not a good strategy. Some one mentioned incentives, like prize drawings and lower prices on sale items. I think that would be a better way to go. Maybe........

The solution is simple. Charge for the classifieds as there is a service being provided. No free classifieds period. All the free classifieds do is attract people looking for a free service to sell things. Many really have no interest in the site other than selling and leaving. Why waste time vetting these people at all. Berating members to donate will not work, as we have seen by the poor percentage numbers that do not seem to change no matter what is tried. I can fully understand this from members that only come here occasionally. Nothing wrong with that. People expect a service or a product for their money. Nothing wrong with that either. Just charge for the classifieds and move on. Pressuring members to donate will just drive them away. Just my personal opinion on the matter. Carry on.

5 bucks an add plus 1 for every self imposed bump. Might sway some folks to contribute that otherwise would not.

I haven’t been on much for a year now, had a parent to take care of and was glad to do it. This was a topic a year ago and it still is today. Not much has changed along these lines. Ive noticed most of the comments are from paying members, I imagine few non paying members care to read this thread. This site is rich with knowledge and willingness to share. I’ve learned so much here and I’m grateful for it. Many times I come here before I even crack a reloading manual. I can ask just about any question concerning reloading techniques, problem solving, load info, dimensions or whatever and I’ll get an answer from someone willing to help. If that’s not worth a fee I don’t what is. I hope the Forum Boss does whatever he feels he needs to keep this site going.....it would sure suck if he ever decided to be done with it. To all those who make this place run on a daily basis thank you! Many many thanks to a job well done!

This website has much more to offer than just this forum! People: just try exploring all the fantastic information, articles, product reviews, etc found at the home page. Accurateshooter/6mmbr.com has MUCH more to offer than just a forum. All this content takes money, time and hard work. It’s doesn’t magically just appear here. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble.
