So the pain meds were the gift.. lol..

I was in Scheels the other day buying my wife a nice snowmobile jacket for her gift. She then said do you want to go to the gun department. I said heck yeah. We walked over when we got there I was looking around and she said, do you want me to buy you a new gun? That was the best gift, having a wife that knows you have a bunch of guns and is still willing to buy you another gun...

The rest of the story, I told her "No".. Yes, it hurt but in reality I don't have time this coming year to get a new rifle and play with it. I told her, You can buy me a new rifle action next year so save your money..! I still have not got my 300 SM shooting the way I want. I only put about 100 rounds down the barrel this year. Most of those were in a match. I have the speed I want but too much pressure. I have a reamer to lengthen the throat, then play some more with it. Once I have the bugs worked out I will have the wife get me a Defiance LA for a new build. I built the current one on a SA.:(

Normal govt size but holds 15rds and has a solid pinned bull barrel with a floating chamber. Look forward to trying it out on the creeks this summer.

Most of the Kids and Grandkids arrived for the evening meal. Smiles and hugs. Old stories and new laughs. My Wife and Best Friend still puts up with me. Only 22 shifts left until retirement. I did not know an old bald fat man could be so Happy!!! I am a Blessed Man

Got a nice gift cert. to my favorite cigar lounge from my 30yr old Son and once again reminded that I am " The Worlds Greatest Grandpa" by the way of the little items from the Santas Gift Shop at school............Couldn't be more Blessed with 3 Kids & 5 Grandkids all living locally.......Merry Christmas & God bless each and every one of you.

When you get my age you really don't need much. I've been blessed. My "want" was Kindle reading gift cards. I got enough for a lot of reading. I do read a lot.
We had my Son and his family of 10 ten which was grandsons and their Ladies, a Grand Daughter, and a Great Grand Daughter.
We had a great time. My Great Grand Daughter (10 yrs old) got a Ruger 10-22 and shot up half a box of ammo. After shooting her Dad's 45-70 Henry at the range I knew this would be a walk in the park. I need to find an additional stock that I can trim a little LOP for her.
A very blessed day.
