Christmas Gun

;D Got me a new gun for christmas. Browning Eclipse heavy barrel with the thumbhole stock. Barrel is 24" and the trigger seems pretty decent for a stock gun. Gun was lightly used but looks mint she came sporting a Burris signature series 4-16 on her and this gun has the boss system which is a new thing for me. I Plan on starting load development this week I am looking to shoot the berger hunting VLD 190's and I am hoping that H4350 works well. I have two questions:
1. I never did load development with a 300 past a regular hunting gun. with a 24" barrel what kind of speeds can I exspect?? Hoping for 2850 with the 190's
2. I have NO IDEA about the boss system!!! any help would be great thanks.

RL-22 is a good powder for 300 Win Mag.

You should be able to get to 2850 with H4350. Although it is a little fast for the cartridge, you might see some good accuracy with it. H4831 would also be good as would the previously mentioned Reloder 22.
