Cheaper than Dirt should change it's name.....

I think the cost that surprised me when I bought 4 50 cal ammo cans from CTD was the cost of "handling" & shipping. nearly 50% of the items purchased, as I recall. From a sales perspective, a brilliant move- but I have not bought anything since. altho I must get a catalog per week. this is information, not a complaint. :)

There are places to still get .22 at fair prices. Just don't do business with those who take advantage of us.

Most of this pricing wouldn't have come about if that "FELLA" that the majority of the population hadn't elected him into the White House. Now talking about gouging, that clown is screwing everyone before he leaves office. My medical premiums are taking the biggest monthly hike ($70) I've seen since being retired for over 10 years. Now that guy is a f...ing joke! But CTD isn't and has never been on my list of suppliers for many of the aforementioned reasons.

I shop for the best price and refuse to do business with those that price gouge, so I would like to relate a little story about CTD just to show there are two sides to the coin. A number of years ago I got a brand new Ruger 77/22 in .22 Hornet. I immediately had it rechambered to K-Hornet, and then came the problem - it was the wrong time of year (in between production runs, apparently) and NOBODY had Hornet brass in stock; I searched the internet high and low, not even fussing about my normal brass brand preferences. Then I found CTD; they not only had it in stock, but their price was slightly lower than the best price listed by any of those sources that didn't have it in stock. So even the bad guys get it right once in awhile...

With their long history, they can buy heaven and earth and still not convince me to buy from them.

Hmmmm (??) ....All this hate for this company!!

But anybody just try mentioning the little darling and shooting buddy Lester Bruno here, and all of the sudden the gouging is defended as "free enterprise... supply and demand......you don't like it, don't buy it" etc.

A tale of two standards if I ever saw one. ::)

It ain't just the ammo...take a look at their shipping cost..I ordered a $9.99 Sun Optics Pic rail...shipping and handling was $12.79... :o :o :o

Don't buy from gougers on their grounds, period! Make them come to you with their best offer. If you offer .02 cents a round, then stand by that. Let them eat lead when they get hungry. Never help a gouger!
