Purchased a CZ 455 SS sporter in 17HMR in the fall. I broke both bones in my lower leg in late Nov. and it's cold here (Wi.) so I shot it enough to break it in. Started shooting it again a few weeks ago with groups over 1", but not over 1 1/2" at 100 yds. I thought I had cleaned it good, but found I hadn't. I really got after it today with WIPEOUT, BORE PASTE and shot the .46 group on the left. It has 90 rounds through it after break in.
It has an adjustable cheek piece, I cut the trigger spring off, sleeved the front trigger pin, pillared /bedded and mounted a LEUPOLD 6.5-20 target dot.
I paid $299 + tax for this from a local gun shop.

That's a nice group! I'm curious what kind of ammo you're using. I have a similar rifle that I've run 5 kinds of ammo through and most of them are not spectacular. CCI 20 grain game points were the best and most consistent, giving 10 shot groups under 1 moa from multiple lots. Federal 17 grain VMax was also pretty good, not quite as consistent between groups, but its harder to find so I'm counting it out. Your post makes me want to clean it really well and go shoot some more groups!

I bedded, pillar bedded and opened the barrel channel, I think that may had made a difference. I also shortened the trigger spring and sleeved the front trigger pin. I have been using 17 gr. v-max Horn. & Fed prem 17 gr. V-max has been good.
That was my best group in hundreds.

I did the trigger mods and also stiffened up the firing pin spring. Didn't play with pillars or bedding though. I've shot very little rimfire in my day and I think my technique has room for improvement. Another reason I need to get out and shoot. I do remember trying the Hornady brand Vmax ammo and it didn't shoot well in my gun.
