I recently bought a used Rem 700 ADL in 223. Replaced the trigger and floated the barrel, other than that completely original, including the plastic stock. It is not even bedded.
Worked up a load with CFE 223 and 52 gn Barnes Match Burners that will shoot 1/2 MOA consistently. I could not be happier! Not much money in the rifle and inexpensive to feed. Nice to be able to shoot without spending $1 or more each time I pull the trigger.
