I've used the Savage PTA in an early target version of the McRees Precision, Gary Eliseo's S1 chassis, and the UK's Dolphin Gun Co. F-Class stock (a much developed variant of the original McRees design). McRees seems to only make tactical variants these days, and after only a few years of exporting to Europe the company stopped supplying this market. The old one I have is excellent, but heavy for the overall-weight constrained F/TR discipline.

Gary Eliseo's Competition Machine S1 is a superb stock IMO. Very easy and comfortable to shoot. An expensive purchase these days though. (But what isn't when you get into top-end small manufacture stocks?) The Dolphin Gun Co model is a thoroughly developed and excellent match design with interchangeable forend sections available for different purposes.

All three are target not PRS etc stocks and designed for the solid bottom PTA action. Top to bottom: Early McRees with a 2-inch width 'varmint' forend. They also did a 3-inch for front-rests which I have. Eliseo Competition Machine S1 stock. The cheekpiece has been removed from the buttstock to allow bolt removal and sits underneath the stock. Bottom: Dolphin Gun chassis with 3-inch front-rest forend (alternative F/TR version has an Anschutz rail for bipods).

Oryx is good chassis and not expensive. Easy to drop in barreled action. New action screws included.
