I really hope that statement is not blaming Charlie Kirk for his own assassination. Is enragement a typo? Or are you trying to say that his debating and informing people was somehow designed to enrage people? If so, you must not have ever seen his appearances.

I’m pretty Country but the first thing I would do is drag this kid and rifle to a spot somewhere and see if he can actually use that rifle at said distance or just to see if he’s capable of operating said found rifle.

His net worth and checkered domestic history are interesting, but so are the marksmanship he demonstrated in Marine Corps service, and the relative merits of the Carcano Model 38 rifle. To those with an inquisitive and analytical bent, anyway.
He probably did. Can't imagine my Son being on the TV wanted for an assassination of another person. I'm a LE officer and I'm not sure how fast I could react in a law abiding manner. I would of course make that decision but it wouldn't an easy one at first. I blame the rhetoric of many of the democratic politicians today calling our President a fascist and a racist. Words like Hitler and Dictator resonates with kids that are being taught in schools and colleges in very negative ways. Especially if they are only watching those news channels calling the President and his administration the names they are today. I can't turn on any news channels today and not hear the democratic party calling the Republicans fascists. Blue state governors and leaders are doing this daily. I'm not surprised at this attack by a 22 year old that's been indoctrinated by the democratic politicians rhetoric, happened. It was bound to occur. It happened with Trump in Butler by the same kind of kid who heard all the same stuff this kid did. Now we're hearing the left say that Kirks words were weapons and it caused this. Get use to it because it's gonna get worse

We all must decide for ourselves what we value doing and weigh the risks to our own satisfaction. That is the essence of freedom. Kirk did not rely on, nor could state, federal or private security assure him of safety, - safety is not delegable. That’s what I mean by the buck stopping with Kirk.
When I finally decided to fly the young family after 9/11, true in fact in any flight at all, no one makes me agree to board. I know perfectly well fatal accidents have happened and will again. I might get unlucky, but no one made me do it.
Kirk stood for free speech. He probably opened threats by mail, messages and recordings daily. I’m certain that if he knew of a specific credible threat this week, of course he’d cancel or alter security plans, but my point that while he can try to implement the best security measures, and while they can perform from anywhere between a “lapse” to the the best humanly possible, our own safety Is not delegable, that is in fact the strongest reason for the 2A to exist.

It is definitely a poorly sporterized Mauser 98. Redfield style rings, The front ring is an extension ring to make that "Pizza Ship" scope work. It has a Timney safety. Looks like a Bell And Carlson Carbelite stock.

I just saw a picture of the rifle recovered and it doesn't make sense to me how the scope is mounted. It looks to me that the bolt wouldn't even cycle. Let alone the scope rings placement and mounting or lack thereof. What do you guys think? Not trying to start anything but in this world we live in I catch myself questioning what we are told.

Really? There's no way at this time to verify the authenticity of any blurry photo seen online or on TV of a rifle with no identifiable LEO displaying the weapon.

Horrible set up. My guess is, the kid got lucky even hitting Kirk. Probably aimed for chest or head and the shot hit his neck.

Well there was some speculation that Kirk was wearing a bullet proof vest and the bullet glanced upward to hit him in the neck. I’m not saying that I think that’s what happened but I did see that somewhere.

Not sure but from the photos of him right before he was shot, I don’t recall seeing a vest so if he had one on then it was under.
