Charging to Reload Ammo

Just let me add. . . .prior to retirement I was a product liability investigator; Olin, Ruger and others were clients. If you are sued, and go through a trial and win your case, the legal fees will be overbearing. If you undertake this venture, be certain you have business coverage , including completed operations. That will satisfy some of the verdict, and more importantly will pay legal fees.

Another thing to consider is can a small operator buy components in the same quantity and price as the OEMs? Ammo is CHEAP now. I mean really cheap. It almost doesn't pay for the average person to invest the money in reloading equipment plus the TIME to go out and shoot a handgun or AR once a week. I've spoken with a few full auto shooters and they don't reload their own ammo. Time is the issue with them. Even with progressive presses like the Dillon, after expenses, one would probably be working for minimum wage.

If that!
If someone shoots somebody and the attorneys go after the "deep pocket" Gun Company that built the gun, what do you thing they would do with you after one piece of defective ammo?
We can send a cake with a hack saw blade in it.;)

what I do is have them buy everything give it to me with their rifle. I make a load test and sight in the rifle. Then give everything back. I get nothing for doing the reloading.

BUT, you reloaded the ammo. That makes YOU an accessory after the fact. The price of store bought ammo looks better every minute. We can send YOU a cake too.o_O

I might reload as a favor for a relative but not for a buddy. When I take friends to the range to shoot, I generally buy commercially reloaded or new ammo for them to shoot.
