Chargemaster died. Any suggestions?

Autotrickler...buy once cry once
Thanks for the update on DWS. I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to call them tomorrow and see whats up. I got my set up back in August 2020.

Best scale decision I ever made was selling two charge masters and go with the FX120i V3 auto trickler with area419 top.
I, after a long wait for the targeted shipping date on the FX120i V3 kit.,,, I Found out it was going tobe another 4 weeks plus before it shipped. In my distress, Justin at DWS told me that they had the New Sartorius Entries II models in with the V3 Auto Tricklers,,, in stock. For $260.00 more I could get the Sartorius,,, well it was a no Brainer. 5 days later on my 56 birthday it arrived at my front door. 2 days later I was buying the wife a new washing machine & dryer. The unforseen cost of reloading.

We had a power outage from a windstorm last week and when I went reload the next day the Chargemaster's screen was blank. I always leave mine on so I thought uhoh. Sure enough, I think it gave up the ghost.

I got many years of great service from it. Is there any hope for this unit - will RCBS diagnose and service it? Offer discount on a replacement?

Or has a better or cheaper but as good unit come out since the introduction of the Chargemaster?

Thanks in advance.

First, call RCBS and see what they say. They just might have you send it in and the will either repair, replace it. See what they will do or won't and go from there.

Auto-trickler,
I would without a doubt quit shooting F-Class without the best thing since sliced bread
for fast precise reloading...hmmm and im looking at possibly a Dillon to speed things up even more.
hellova Rabbit hole im diggin....sure is fun tho.

at first i was thinking of the auto trickler for the handiness of it but as i look more into it and see some of my ESs Im thinking of it for the accuracy.

The next step after the FX120i/V3AT is a 21Century Hydro Press and a SinClair/Wilson Micro meter Bullet Seater chamber dies. :) That Rabbit hole gets real deep.

Granted this has been a while, but I contacted RCBS about my out-of-warranty Chargemaster that needed repairs. Rather than repairing it, they told me that just replace them and offered me a discounted price on a new unit.

When my RCBC Chargemaster died under the same circumstances I pulled out my volt meter and checked for current at the output of the transformer. Testing showed the transformer had failed so I gave RCBS a call to see if they could help. The Tech was very nice but (not surprisingly) that RCBS electronic equipment of mine's age (6 years) was not a warranty item. He did tell me the transformer was available on Amazon and he would send me the specs via email. not only did he send the specs he sent a link to the specific replacement on Amazon. IIRC, the new one was about $30 and it put my machine back in service.
I no longer have it and can't find the link he sent but I feel sure you could get the same info from RCBS.

But if you think you can do it just as fast an accurate as the auto trickler. You are blowing smoke up your own ass.

Wow, my A$$ is hot! Stay back!

I talked with my techs over at DWS Today. The problem was supply and demand & Logistics.
For people like me who purchased their Scale and V2/V3 anything through them, It's business as usual. They stand buy their scales and services 200% and all V2/V3 kits are still warranted through Adam.
They still support all mods and products through Area 419 also.
Todays Price on just the FX120i scale is $475.00 @ Data weighing System.:)
