changing the chambering to 6 BRDX

W hen I was having my XC gun built, I had my smith chamber 2 barrels both for 6BR. The one barrel has never had a round through it. I am considering, if possible, to change it to 6 BRDX. Can this be done by simply running a 6 BRDX reamer in and not setting the barrel back any? The current neck is a no turn. Would I be better off getting a .269 neck 6 BRDX reamer so the existing neck is not recut? This may be just another of my brain dead ideas but input as to the possiblities of this project would be much appreciated.
