Changing seating depth after crimped

Is there any danger of seating a 9mm bullet a couple hundredths after it has been crimped? The case is not charged with a maximum load so i know there is room in the case. I’m just curious about the round being crimped, is it ok to seat the bullet lower then re-crimp it? Any info about this situation would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

If it’s a taper crimp that isn’t excessive, you won’t hurt anything. Just look at each one, make sure you aren’t buckling the case or shaving the bullet.

Some types of bullets may shave lead, coating or plating. Jacketed is no problem.

I have used my thumb nail to remove the ring of lead.
