Changing Savage bolt face

Can you change the savage bolt face from 6BR size to 6X47 size? How hard is it? How much $$$$ do you think it will cost. Is it even worth the trouble, or should I just get a new bolt.

If you're talking about going from 6BR to 6x47 Lapua, you don't need to change anything. They will both use the standard .473" (308, 22-250,etc) bolt head.

If it's on the .223 case you'll be better off buying a new bolt head for it...

Swapping the bolt head takes only a few minutes, very simple. Midway sells them for about $19, bare
When they have the complete bolts (no ejector though) they run about $90

You would need a complete bolthead ( extractor, and ejector ) $55 from http://www.stockadegunstocks.com/testimonials.html. It's not hard to change.
