Changing post on Shadetree Co-axial Rest

I purchased a ShadeTree Co-axial rest with the F/Class base off a forum member. I want to swap the post to use the top with my Cowan base (already have the post). Anyone take their ShadeTree apart? I took the 4 center screws out and lifted the top off. Couldn't clearly see any way to get to the post screw without pulling the while thing apart.

Butch - I am not sure if your up and running again yet so I didn't want to bug you directly, but if your online please provide some input.

Thanks, Tim

When I bought one of Butch's rests for my Sinclair I just bought another central bushing for the Sinclair and bored it out to fit.

Just an idea.....

Butch - Hope your feeling better. I hadn't seen an update lately. I want to be able to switch between my ShadeTree base for F/Class which sets up higher and my Cowan base for BR which is an inch lower (no slide collar). With your base (F/Class), my rear bag (plain old Protektor Deluxe) isn't tall enough to even be level. I have the same problem with my Caldwell BR Rock. The Cowan base sets low. I was happy too the collar will swap between the Caldwell Rock BR base and your F/Class base (sweet... ;D ;D). I guess it might be simpler just to get a taller bag or a bag riser of some type.

Have you heard anything about a Shilen Swap Meet this winter or spring?

Thanks, Tim
