Changing Pistol's Grip Color

So my wife has decided that she is satisfied with her S&W snubby, and has given me her Bersa 380 Thunder. It is a pretty sweet little handgun, and shoots great. Light, carry-able, concealable, and I like it. Trouble is, it has PINK Crimson Trace Grips.

This wouldn't be a problem if they weren't laser grips, but -- heck, I like them, if they just weren't pink. This isn't ONLY my male ego talking. I also wouldn't like them if they were any other bright color. (yeller, green, blue, etc,)

First I'll ask, is there anyone who would like to trade a black set for these pink ones?? I didn't think so.

Sooooo --- what would be the best type of paint, dye, or other coating that would be durable, and darken these things to the point where they would be dark and not pink. Even a dark burgundy or similar wouldn't be bad. jd

JD send me some pictures of the grips and I'll see what might be doable.

Yep, I too heard Rit dye, does the job...just immerse grips in dye check progress every few minutes. Get the color ya want...
Or copy and make them out of your favorite wood...or other material. Or get some matching pink attire like gloves, belt, boots, hat, sunglasses, range bag, etc to match and show off your creative clothing / accessory, designers skills...be the envy of the firing line.

Yesterday at the Shilen Swap Meet, I saw one of these pink pistols and the vendor was faced with the same problem. an onlooker said he had already gone through this and said that he cerakoated the grips black.

You guys are a real riot!! I think I'm beginning to understand what it might be like to be a non-binary, gender disoriented PERSON, stuck in a world of hyper-testosteonized, dominate male, non-inclusive, homophobic, bigoted, brutes, who lack sensitivity. :p

Actually, I appreciate ALL the responses, and Brett, I'll be sending you some pics. Just hoping there is some product that will cover or at least darken these, and not booger up the laser feature. This is the only laser grip I've ever messed with, and it looks like fun. jd
