I assumed they meant swapping out the entire trigger group. If so, I don't see why they couldn't use a Kidd single stage trigger in their VQ but I'd recommend asking over on RFC to be sureI think it can, but I'm no expert (ie zero experience). I did do some research on it a while back and Kidd does offer a $127 trigger kit. I'm assuming you mean swapping triggers in your trigger housing.
These people also have a good reputation.

I would not recommend asking on another board. I have used a Kidd trigger in a VQ receiver and had issues. It turned out to not be the trigger, but the Kidd bolt in the same receiver. Swapping in a VQ bolt fixed the issue. This was a .22LR, not a .17HMR. .17HMR semiautos are a rare breed as to function and safety. I would make sure from VQ that the swap does not compromise anything, as opposed to asking a general population of shooters that may have no idea. There's a lot of those roaming RFC and other boards.I assumed they meant swapping out the entire trigger group. Yes there are a lot who don't know but, you know as well as I do, there are also a lot of people over there who know a heck of a lot more about 10/22 builds than you or I put together. Up until now nobody came along on here to answer their question. You seemed to provide a pretty solid answer but I'd still ask over there. Just like any board, including this one, you need to weed through the answers carefully.I would not recommend asking on another board. I have used a Kidd trigger in a VQ receiver and had issues. That only applies to the folks that know enough to selectively 'weed' carefully. When dealing with a .17HMR semiauto, best to talk with the MFG, not RFC, or as you pointed out, most any board. Not surprised about your posts, as most of us know you are an RFC moderator. As far as some RFC guys knowing more about 10/22 platform rifles than you and I both, I seriously doubt that, at least in my case. As far as 'seeming' to provide a 'pretty solid' answer, you are off base there Pat. I provided the correct answer, for those that value their fingers and not having a .17HMR semiauto blow up in their hands. I do not now, nor will I in the future own a .17HMR semiauto. You seemed to provide a pretty solid answer but I'd still ask over there. Just like any board, including this one, you need to weed through the answers carefully.
