Changing barrels

This has probably been asked before, but here I go.
Can a barrel threaded for a "Kodiak" be removed and put on a "Panda"? Both are short actions.
Thanks

With the coned bolt, they both use the same 1.115 headspace dimension. So yes...as long as the bolt noses are the same profile (coned or flat).

Make sure to check bolt nose clearance just to be sure of that dimension when swapping a barrel the first time. That dimension is set by the 'smith when chambering.

There is a difference between the early actions and actions after the they started using CNC.
The later action you can call Kelby and they can send you a chambered barrel and the caliber marking will be in the right place.

Hal, that's a good point. :) Any idea when they made the change to CNC? The '88 vintage I own is a standard 1.115 'CNC' head space action per Jim Kelbly.
