Changeing Savage Bolt Head

I know when i lapped the bolt lugs , i rechecked the headspace w/ go - no go gages..is is the same when you change bolt heads ?

Yes, the bolt head is part of the head space.

I would just to be on the safe side. I recently swapped heads on mine but barrel was off so it had to be done anyway.

Are any of you guys using the new bolt head from PTG? Just curious to see if it improvred the rifle's performance. Looks like it is well made, and a I am building a 6br savage for my buddy and thought about changing out bolt head.
