Chambering and reamer chatter

IMO the best counter to tool chatter is rigidity of the work piece and cutting tool, rotational speed and feed rate.

Slow speed and heavy feed can oftentimes times stabilize the cut.
 
You could polish it or set the barrel back a few thou.until it cleans up.shouldnt affect accuracy really.the target will tell you.
Haven’t been in the forums in sometime……wanted to update, the guy i did it for is tickled, shoots like a laser beam, his buddy wanted the exact same barrel on a sig cross, it also shoots excellent, my set up was identical, I drilled and pre bored my chamber, struggled with a tad of chatter in the very beginning, I got worked out with slower speed/heavy feed, finished the last 75 percent or so with no chatter issues, I believe the reamer was extremely sharp.
