Chamber Size vs, Neck Size

Hello,

I just had a Brux barrel installed on my .308, and the chamber is a .308 match with .346 at the neck. I want to get the best accuracy. The stanard .308 case is .3433 at the neck. What do I want the neck to be for best accuracy? What tools do I need? I currently use an RCBS full length competion die, will this work? Also, how far of the lans do I want to be with the bullet?

Check a loaded round and see how close it is the your .346 neck... I like em about .002 under the loaded diameter... You may need a neck turner to get right where you want to be... A K&M turner is a good one to have, and be sure to get the expander stuff with it..
Your comp die should work OK if it sizes the necks to the diameter you want them to be.. other wise hunt up a FL bushing die. You'll need to find the depth to seat your bullets for your particular barrel on your own for the best place to seat them..

Junior,
Welcome to the forum :) I like around .002 clearance or so, others will go .001 or so you have .002+. Others more educated than I will chime in on this. Bullet seating you will have to play with to find the optimim depth. I like to start just kissing, then jam .010 @ a time then jump .010. I shoot all of my work up loads through a chronograph looking @ sd and es as well as grouping, as most of my work is done @ long range.
Wayne.

Ok, I have a RCBS full length die, so Im good there. I just want to make sure if the chamber is .346 then , I want my case at most .344, correct?
