Chamber question

Not flat primer pressure, blown up rifle pressure. But like EEP, and LH Smith said i doubt you could close the bolt. A friend had a 222 that was a neck turn and thought the barrel was bad till he learned about neck turning.

You can do it, but your brass will be shot. I had a 284 and I shot some rounds in it and it basically made the primer pockets useless. Been there, had to have my neck in my rifle opened up a little.

I watched a guy who was literally pounding the bolt closed on his rifle. the gunsmith had stamped the neck diameter on the barrel. The necks on the shooter's ammo were just about .0005 too big. the cartridges fired ok. Accuracy sucked. He was shooting moly coated bullets. Nothing blew up but about half of the brass was ruined.
