Chacon 10/22 failure to feed issues

Young man, I have asked you multiple times please stop. Get your chasse, your barreled action and send it to me. I will take care of it.
I back all of my builds, you might be taking something that is very simple and turn it into something that might cost you more money.

Joe Chacon

Lawrence, on November 29, post #6 you said (ultimately Joe will fix it. I'm waiting on the new chassis). Joe is an outstanding person and damn good gunsmith. You've been given some good advise here but none better than what you gave yourself. Take it.

It’s definitely going back! Chassis should be here next Thursday. I was hoping for a simple fix but I’ve exhausted options on my end and it ain’t doing any better. Was just trying to prevent time, shipping and cost!

@MrsShootingThing
Joe I sent you an email with details.

I’m not calling him out nor did I trash talk other than mention it was one of his builds. I chose him to build my rifle based on his good reputation and by no means tried to “call him out” as you say. I spoke with him on the phone multiple times. Just stating the facts and the issue I had. I tried to work it out myself to prevent the hassle of shipping/insurance, I asked for advice on the forum to see if I overlooked something and the problem is not fixed. As per my previous post, once I receive my chassis the whole setup is going back to him.

Lawrence, Hopefully to provide some comfort, Joe and I just got back from 2 days of testing at the Lapua test tunnel in Arizona. We ran 5 different 10/22’s over a 2 day period and fired hundreds of rounds, We had one fail to eject malfunction during that time that I witness and was in the room 90% of the time during testing. I’m confident that Joe can fix your issues. Being a blow back design the key to keeping these guns running is cleaning and maintaining the mags. Anyway, again I’m confident Joe can find and fix your issue.

Les,
Thanks for the info. That must have been 2 days of fun and hopefully you secured some fine shooting lots of ammo to consistently drill tiny holes! Joe and I are in contact and I will be sending my complete rifle to him for fine tuning on Monday.

Les,
2 days and hundreds of rounds must have taken a toll on your fingers loading those magazines....
