Cerus Gen3 vs Dima Gen2

I have an unfinished Dima and a few Cerus stocks. I'd say beg, borrow, steal or just wait on a Cerus. The Cerus is special and unique in the feedback it provides. If you can feel the difference between a load that is in tune and one that isn't, then you will treasure a Cerus.

Welp, it's not an easy swing but I got one coming. While deciding, a friend said who knows what may happen over there if/when Russia moves in. Got me thinking, all politics and the future aside, it's going to be a treasure, hand made with a good story of it's origin. That's how I want this rifle to begin and knowing that will push me shoot it's potential.

A few weeks back I posted a couple of stocks for sale made by Dennis with little response and now the word is out. Dennis is a good friend and has put in a lot of time and money into research and his CNC router. Trust me he stands behind his product. Bret will soon have his hands on a stock that Dennis made for a good friend ours which is posted here. Here is a couple of pics of the stock Dennis made for me. If you think this one is nice wait for the pics of the next one.

I've got a sneaking suspicion he's fixing to get really busy.
Part of our conversation was about BR stocks...
I'm gonna be getting wifes Shehane tracker primed and blocked ready for duplicating as I have Bill's blessings to do so.
I know the recipient of the stock I'm getting ready to do for y'all, he will be blown away!!

Just to add to LJ comments. There’s actually no words to describe how talented and attention to detail Dennis truly is. Dennis actually made his own stock jig and wrote all the programming on his CNC from scratch. Truly amazing. He’s poured lot of hours getting it set up making truly remarkable and very well thought out stock designs. It won’t take long and Dennis quality of work and design will start to shine. PM him about his micro switch set up for threading tenons on a lathe. No more chicken reliefs. LOL I witnessed his DRO stop within .001twice. Just amazing talent. The most special part of my stock is its from a very special friend and its home grown. Can’t wait to get behind it. Brett absolutely no doubt it’ll be another show piece. Thanks to both.

Bill Elliot if it wasn’t for guys like you, Larry Joe Montano, Kenny Padilla, Red Kaiser, Cory Bazzell, and Ed Harrach helping me along these last few years I’d prolly have my long range high master by now all kidding aside all the mentoring you guys have given me means the world!!! It’s seriously an honor building these stocks for y’all.

Yeah... but lets be realistic here: communications from you probably get a little more attention than say others.

I know when I was looking for a stock last summer, I got zip for a response from Cerus. A certain gunsmith that I was talking to at the time - one who builds a *lot* of high-end guns with Cerus stocks - said "good luck getting ahold of him".
If that’s the same highend gunsmith/action maker that I talked to, he was using Dima’s when I called him in Feb looking for ideas.

For those of you that love that traditional wood stock ....... Alex Sitman at Masterclass is an absolute artist! Personally own two of his masterpieces and he is an total joy to work with, every inquiry was responded to within 24 hrs and the results speak for themselves! The pictures don't do the stocks justice!

I’ve also tried to get a hold of Will at Cerus, about 6-7 times, with 4-5 different methods of communication, over 6 months. I understand he is busy, but man, hire someone one hour a day to respond to customers. Dima, A&S stocks in Italy, McMillan, Keith, everyone else has been super responsive, kind and helpful in anything I’ve been working on. Just my experience.

I hope that this topic not become an opportunity to denigrate anyone, even if what happened is true /factual.
It is possible some emails get unread, or end up in spam.
It's also happen with me and Ernie, sometime.
It's just not logic someone in business to disregard customers.
Will is a nice guy, and his stock is excellent/exceptional. I also know Dima and he is a nice guy and has great stocks too. That's it all... seb.
