Hey guys. Do any of you use the gen2+ night vision scopes?
I have a trijicon thermal and a gen3 PVS14 that I use for coyotes now, but I was interested in setting up another rifle for night.
I’ve seen Gen2 scopes in WP for $2000-$3000, but don’t want to waste the money if it’s going to be disappointing after using gen3.
I’ve read that gen 2 is close to 3, but I’ve never looked through one. Obviously gen3 would be the safe bet, but is Gen2 usable to say 300 yards?
I was planning on a laser based Illuminator to help it out. I’m trying to prevent another $5-6000 scope purchase.
