CENTER X AT BLUE COLLAR RELOADING

Yep.
Like I don’t think I can quit cold turkey.
But at that price if comes down to having to pay that for it. I could see me buying two bricks and shooting a match or two a year.
I hope I can get enough saved and get in on a good case price. BAWT saving anything in this economy has been tough here lately.

Quit being stupid sheep.

Man, it's just not the rimfire ammo either, being done with Hodgdon
over their BS also, along with certain primer suppliers......Notice I have
not hit hardly any match's this year ?? A comment above about going
cold turkey say's a lot.....I quit cigarettes that way and I was 2 packs a day.....

Too many mad dogs out there with seemingly untold amounts of excess cash. To get all the sheep on the same page of not buying is impossible. In the end, they will be competing against themselves.

I ain’t faulting anybody for buying, if you want it and have the cash. Get all you can.
I’m just an average working guy to me 15-18 a box for the cheep stuff. 22-30 for the better stuff I can still afford to buy some and shoot some matches. But at 22 for cheap stuff and 27-40 for better stuff. For me it’s starting to get out of my price range.
But hey there are guys who spend 6-15K a year on ammo, guys out there shooting up thousands of rounds of X Act. I don’t have a problem with it. Good for them. I’m sure if I had the expendable cash I would too.

Retired, don't shoot matches (none in the area), those prices are WAY above "just checking accuracy " level.

What has Hodgdon done?

On topic, I go shoot just to have fun. I can do that at $3-$4 a box just as well as I can at $20 a box. So I'm an Aguila Super Extra and CCI guy. I can bring myself, barely, to 6c-9c a shot for rimfire, but 40c a shot? That's centerfire turf all the way. Course I started out at 69c a box for Peters .22lr. And the hardware store guy was a friend to kids. If you couldn't afford 69c for a whole box you could buy however many you wanted for 2c each, 6 for a dime.

While I’m sure there is some price gouging happening you also have to consider the 15% tariff recently placed on imports from the EU. There is also the 11% excise tax on ammunition. The US treasury is probably making a bigger profit than the manufacturer.

Pricing started way before tariffs.

I agree, there have been incremental increases forever. The hike has ballooned in the past couple of months. The manufacturers are paying the tariffs and must pass it on. In essence we the consumers are paying the tariff.

Tariffs are a real thing but are also being used as an excuse. Post #5, second paragraph. What do you think about that idea?

I’m all for it, particularly in the factory class and club level matches. I’ve cut way back on rim fires. I spend more time with my springer air rifles.
