Celestron Regal spotting scopes???

I have been scouring the web in search of a high power spotting scope. I have been looking at the Pentax PF-80 and the Vortex Viper. Last week I saw a review on the Celestron Regal line of scopes. They sound too good to be true for the price. If anyone has any experience with these scopes I would love to hear them.

Have you looked through this scope or is this just your assumption?

I use the Celestron Ultra 80 20-60, and its a good scope, to 40X. It gets a little blurry at 60X. These are big heavy scopes and require a heavy tripod to hold them steady. i can easily see 6mm holes in anything at 200-300 yards. I suspect the Regal is going to be much better considering the price difference of $300+.

I also have the Ultima 80 Celestron and also do a number of fellow shooters at my Club. We have found it to be a VERY GOOD spotting scope -so good in fact I leave my KOWA at home now. On a clear no mirage day I have seem .224 bullet holes in the white portion of the target at 600 yards.

Remember I said a clear no mirage morning.

Optics Planet has these scopes for under $200. I suspect the Regal would be better, but I cannot imagine how except for ED glass.
