CCI-BR4 vs. CCI 450?

I have about 5K of CCI-BR4s as opposed to about only 800 of CCI 450s. The BR4s cost a good deal more.

But what is the real difference between the two? Are not the BR4s also a magnum powder? Can the BR4s be used in place of the 450s in any application in which 450s are recommended?

My understanding is the BR primers go thru 1 more step of inspection/ quality control. They are interchangeable but I have had better luck with the CCI 450's over the CCI BR4 shooting Varget or VV N135 out of my 6BR with the 75-95 grain bullets. I am sure with a little load testing you can find a good load with the BR4's.

I use the B4s in my 6br with 68gr and 80gr Berger's they work very well. I use the 450s in my dasher with the 107GR and 108gr bullets they seem to work better then the B4 in the dasher.
