Caught my mistake !!!

To be precise, Austetitic Stainless Steels are non magnetic. 303, 304, and 316 are common examples.
Martensitic Stainless Steels, which includes 416 and 440, are magnetic.

The Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels, 17-4 being the most well known, are magnetic.

The easy way to clarify this is if a Stainless Steel responds to some type of heat treating to enhance properties, it is usually magnetic.

What kind of damage would result if you did shoot the pins down your barrel? I imagine this happens and nobody even knows.
An interesting question. Since some (or one) are too small to seal against the barrel and some (or one) are down in the powder mix I wonder if they do indeed exit the barrel (I would guess so) but also how far would they really go?
Not a personal concern as I have always used walnut or corn media in a vibratory machine.
None-the-less an interesting thought.
