Below is a picture of some sectioned cases to show the difrence of case web thickness. Yes I sectioned one of my prized RAUG 6X47 Swiss Match cases. They apear to be made of brass but in the USA its actually unobtainium. Come on RAUG get on the band wagon!!!
Notice the thickness at the base between the primer pocket and the inside bottom of the combustion chamber at the flashhole. The 308 Lake City case is very thick as we have all heard before, so I sectioned one to show how thick it is. The 6X47SM is also pretty thick. The 6BR is quit thin compared to the the other two. With that being said I have some Norma 6BR brass with 11 firings on it with no issues at all.
