Case trimming of 204 ruger

Hey guys new to the site and figured I should check it out after being refured by a friend. My question is what are you guys using to trim your 204 brass. Lee doesn't make a length gauge and trimmer for the 204 which is my favorite method. I have a older redding lathe trimmer but acording to there site I need to get a smaller head cutter to trim the 20 cal. With all the people shooting the little beast someone has had to find a great way to trim for it. That being said I don't feel like trimming 1100 cases on my redding trimmer... I guess it is what it is.

Thanks alot guys.

I use the RCBS hand operated trimmer that I've had for five years. But if I had to trim 1000 pieces at a time I would probably invest in something that ran on electricity. There was no 20 caliber pilot in the kit so I had to order one from Midway for $4 or $5. I think the shipping was more than the pilot.

I had exactly the same problem and ended up buying a Forster trimmer with all the accessories.
Not only does it allow you to trim brass, but also perform inside neck reaming and outside neck turning.
It's a great bit of kit which produces cases of unmeasurable variation.

The parts you need for the full setup are:
Forster “Original” case trimmer. CT1010
Collet. CT2001
Pilot. CT1020
Neck Reamer. NR1204,optional - only if you want to neck ream)
Outside Neck Turner. OT1010,optional - only if you want to neck turn)
Outside Neck Turner Pilot. OT2204,optional - only if you want to neck turn)

Because I have this, I've now stopped using "genuine" .204 Ruger brass and fire-form brass from .222 Mag. This allows longer necks to fill the chamber, cut 15 thou short) and even after reaming and neck-turning, thicker neck walls which give better neck tension and hold the bullet more concentric with the bore.
Attached is a pic of a standard .204 case on the right, fireformed) and a resized / fireformed / neckturned .222 Mag on the left. The increase in neck length is obvious :)
Kev.
