case preparation centers...desirable?

I am a relatively new reloader, and do not load a high volume of cases. Are these powered case prep centers worth the investment, and if so, are there any which rise above the competition?

I had one for a day, turned around and sold it to someone else. I like to be able to feel how deep of a chamfer I want on the case mount or how much I cut into the flash-hole with a flash-hole deburring tool. I've never had a use for them and don't see many other competition shooters using them that I know of. If it were me, I'd just buy all the hand tools, and the goods ones at that. Hope this helps. :)

I use the RCBS model for mass loadings for 223/308 when I'm using the ammo for plinking. When striving for the most accurate ammunition possible then Chappy's advice is spot on.

Good Shooting.

I use single tools like chappy but I made adaptors(they can be purchased) to use on a small battery powdered drill so my poor old wrists don't get stiff.

You might invest in one of the 3way cutter heads for the trimmers by Forster or RCBS. They do all three cuts on the case neck and you can clean the primer pockets manually.

Thanks, I think I will stick with my hand tools, I am retired and have the time...I am not reloading plinker ammo, I try to make it all as good as I can get it, and consistent. Thanks for the responses. Saved some money! ;D
