Carbon ring question

This is the transition at the end of the chamber.

Is that a carbon ring? Is it large enough to be concerned?

I had concerns since this 223 barrel has a Wylde chamber and I shoot standard length brass.

That does look like carbon to me but I don't think it is a problem yet.

Just keep it cleaned out and u don't have to worry about it, do it when it's hot a tiny bit of the JB will take it right or just a brush with cleaner not hard now but it will be, because that's the case mouth and it will keep layering it on and the case will grow and could cause a pressure issue, possibly

But, does anyone get a ring of carbon to the left of this one? I.e., In the throat before the lands start?

Thanks. I stuffed a kroil-soaked patch in there and will do a little light scrubbing in the morning.

A bronze 6mm brush with Hoppes turned by hand should remove that.

If you clean regularly you can stay ahead of that and prevent buildup. Doesn’t look serious to me. Now, if you think you need to keep your barrel at bare metal …..?

Yes. If it was mine it would concern me simply because it will get worse and then it will take more aggressive cleaning to get rid of.

Soaked in what ever cleaning fluid your using....

Clean it up. Don’t wait until it become a problem. I do it each time I clean my barrel. If chamber is dirty..gun is not clean
