Cant see anymore, Need Advice Please!!!!!!!!

I may be misunderstanding you problem, you can see through scope ok, but have problems seeing up close? Would a prescription lens in the left eye and no prescription in the right eye help.

Wayne,
Before getting to the adjustment thing...Danny's and your point about the size of lenses got me to thinking. I wear big metal framed glasses, partially because I have a big head (no wisecracks) and also because I like what it does for my peripheral vision. I guess my point is that if I were wearing smaller lenses. particularly shorter top to bottom, I might have the edge of the windshield problem that you describe. The thing is if you are having that problem and trying to adjust a scope, the natural thing would be to take a longer look, trying to find some way to sharpen the image, by trying harder to get your eye to focus, or by adjusting your head position. This extra time could be sabotaging your efforts to focus the eyepiece. since to avoid having your eye compensate for a slight focus error requires a fleeting glance. This could explain why you have had good success with your glasses off, and have problems with them on. If the glasses you wear for shooting do not have large lenses, I recommend them, and I also recommend that you adjust the nose pads so that they ride high on your face, so that the spot that you are looking through is nearer the center of the lens. I think that the big problem with scope adjustments that the eyepiece can be a little out of focus, and it is hard to see. In reality the only way that you would know that there is an issue is if you are having the problem that you describe.

Bozo , here's another Option which I hesitate to mention because it is only used for old folks with cataracts , but eyesight is improved so much that most people do not need glasses at all ....even to read or to drive . Also , unless you have cataracts , I doubt if an Medical Insurance would cover this procedure . It is called Intra-ocular Lens Implant . Do a Googol search & check it out .

Wayne, I also have a problem like you, can't see out of my right eye, had to go left handed now i i can't get glasses to correct the left. I keep trying, don't give up,if you want something bad enough it will keep you going. Nobody can clear both the front sight and the target,so just so the front sight is clear. I remember good shooters that couldn't see the target at 600, they used the number boards. Where there is a will there is a way.........jim

Fellas,
Everyone of you have gave good advice and I appreciate all of it :)
I think I answered my own question on the size of glasses I wear large frame glasses now but I know they make bigger one's I just need to find them. A real eye doctor is in order for sure. I really never do drink water only coffee, I need and will change that for more than just the eye thing. I think the photo gray thats in my glasses may be giving issues as well.I had a fellow member pm me and he has a problem almost identical to mine, he gave me some good ideas on head position. I have lower eye lid problems so I am going to hydrate myself to start with and go from there. Thanks alot guy's for all the great advice, oh and Boyd I really would like you to explain how to properly adjust a scope, if you don't want to do it on the open forum please pm me, ones never to old to learn something new I shouldn't have put that stipulation on my op and have since removed it.
Thanks again guy's.
Wayne.

It would be a good idea to get your blood glucose checked too. As an earlier poster says, changing blood glucose can also alter your vision.

I too got old and farsighted...usually I wear full field trifocals for Everyday activities
for shooting I use USO glass and they made me an adujusable near lens from +4 to -4 diopters. Not I just wear simple non corrective shooting glasses and can clearly see both the target and the scope lines.
