Interesting.... what/where/who is your source to that information?
I am pretty sure that among those that really shake down their loads that the RDF's have a lot less fans than detractors. Many probably could have achieved better results if they worked the entire range of jump, for instance 10 to 70 off and not stop till two of them go south. I have no use for them.
I don't recommend spending time with them but if you do....the jump is important. Work the ENTIRE range from 10 off to 70 off looking for your best results. 3 shots per try is all needed. If you start at 10 off, increment by 10 and observe results. DO NOT STOP TOO SOON! If your changes show 2 steps getting worse, back up to previous and consider one try of 5 either side. The RDF's have real narrow sweet spots compared to something like hybrids. The balance is too fine for me to spend time. Also ask yourself why RDF's are constantly discounted. What? Translation please.

Normally I would agree with 3 shot groups for seating depth testing, however the RDF's are not consistent enough to judge much off a 3 shot group.
I shot one of the best 3 shot groups of my life when I was testing seating depths with the 140 RDF's in my 6.5 creedmoor. One 3 shot group was a tiny ragged hole - I was ecstatic and thought I was done. Loaded up a bunch of ammo to that spec, but couldn't shoot a 5 shot group for shit. There was always random fliers on shot 3, 4 or 5. Sometimes even on shot #2. Couldn't get it to group less than 1 moa for 5 shots, though it occasionally put 3 in the same hole.
RDF's really tested my patience and sanity. As much as I wanted them to work, as they have a great BC for a killer price, I just wasn't able to make it happen. I'm back to shooting Berger Hybrids in all my calibers.
