Candy laminate

I super glued any big voids and wood slivers with a 2 part super glue used for granite counters then sanded flat.
Next I sprayed simtech's bond tech as an adhesion promoter. Let set for 2 days.
Then simtech transparent easy sanding polyester primer 3 double wet coats, let dry 24hours.
Now I block that out with 320 grit followed by 500 wet sand. Switching to automotive finish here.
Any remaining voids in laminate are agian filled with 2 part super glue and blocked flat.
Smoke candy faded to blue 4 -5 coats.
Next was 6 coats of automotive clear no reducer " I wanted it thick".
Wet sanded with 800 grit.
Flow coated with 4 more coats of clear using slow reducer this time as I didn't need all the build.
Now I nib sanded imperfections with 1000 grit followed by 2000 grit for cutting and polish.
 
They just keep getting better sir... The candy colors are absolutely beautiful... I have a maple 600 remington stock that was my grandfather's deer rifle in 6mm remington that I have been trying for years to sit down and do a hand rubbed tung oil finish on it.... It would be so nice again.... I keep seeing you guys doing stocks and it keeps reminding me of it.... I did one many years ago to see if I could do it useing an sks of all things because hey what are you going to do , make it worse...?

It turned out very very nice , took about 3 weeks but worth it.... I need to get that 600 out and get to work.... Since I can't do anything but sit inside during the summer maybe this year I can get it done...
