Can you resize 6bra to 6br norma using 6br norma die? basically reversing the fire forming process.
When you size them you’ll have a bunch of tiny wrinkles in the shoulder area from the material that has been stretched, it’s not pretty by any means. And unfortunately loses its life span after that, it’s bascially junk. Can you resize 6bra to 6br norma using 6br norma die? basically reversing the fire forming process.
If you're forming dasher brass. However, I'm using the Norma Dasher brass, albeit for F Class, not Bench Rest. One of the benefits of the BRA over the dasher is the quality of the formed case.
What about bumping the shoulder back to simulate fireforming? any thoughts if so how much would be a safe bump? One of the benefits of the BRA over the dasher is the quality of the formed case. Its hard to form dasher cases as consistent as a BRA and the BRA case is hard to screw up. Brass quality is important. So even if you could, I wouldnt.

It will work harden and crack pretty fast. I would not recommend it. If your trying to simulate fireforming, I am assuming it shot better fire forming than it does now. Fireforming does shoot well at short range, its very forgiving. But if a barrel will shoot well fireforming, it will shoot even better when properly tuned. What about bumping the shoulder back to simulate fireforming? any thoughts if so how much would be a safe bump?
