Can I ship a used stock to Canada?

I'm a Canadian and I have purchased several Boyd's stocks over the years. Had no problem. The $ limit has been put at $500 and under. Never had a problem, but they are a business and may have different rules than the individual.

They have a exporter license (ITAR). Dollar amounts have nothing to do with it. Rifle stocks a covered under ITAR. Im not going to go back through my paperwork to find the exact wording but the answer is no. I understand about Canadians having po boxes but it is on them when they physically carry it across the border.
Im not saying you cant get away with it, I'm saying dont get caught.

Its a pain getting good parts in Canada.

Tools like presses, barrel vises and stuff like that arent controlled so they are no problem. But anything that us a gun part or even custom bullets is a pain and costly.

I was told several yrs ago, by someone at the
import/export office, that as a vendor, do not send
anything out of this country other than a stamped
envelope unless I was licensed. LDS

I'm told by ppl that deal with Canada shooters.

It has to go through an Exporter.

That's all I got from em.

Basically you get dinged by

(h) Components, parts, accessories and attachments for the articles in paragraphs (a) through (g) of this category.

which is pretty stupid really

The US Munitions List:

Even the UK is more sensible in this regard. Basically only load bearing elements are considered firearms there (actions, barrels etc).

The US exemptions from the need for a license are listed under section 123.16 in first link below. Note the $500 limit, the conditions attached thereto and the form required. Note also the exemption requirements for Canada (126.5 in second link below)
