Thanx for your timely response.

Wasn't sure you were talkin' about the same wildcat. Your wildcat's name and
" short/ fat design remind me some... of the Smalley-McPherson " SMC2" cartridges, such as their " 6mm/55 SMC ". That wildcat is a tad longer than yours.

Hey ! I just saw in an accurateshooter search I made, that we talked about this very topic Feb 2019.

Yes, I remember. I actually talked to someone over the phone about the SMC2 he had just built. It was a very interesting and informative conversation.

If you're trying to cover the whole back end of the rifle stock you're going to have to have something custom made. With all the new 3D printing options their might be something that can be made at a reasonable price.

I have 300 WM bull barrel I shoot out of a GRS Hybrid stock and an Eliseo chassis and it is not too bad. I just lean into it a bit with a firm shoulder and roll with the punch (LOL). It is not something I would want to shoot all day that's for sure. I have a 4" Tooley offset barrel block rifle stock I am going try try next. I might also have a 1.25" @ 30" straight barrel made just see how it would shoot. 300 I look to mass and bore line to help manage recoil.

thanks for that.. 3d printed sounds like it mite work---- iam just getting started so i will see hiw it goes with a brake--- also they have the recoil reduction device that attachees to stock-- that may b in my future
