No relationship with Croatia, although I have the utmost respect for the nation that developed the RT-20 rifle (??) as an expedient during a bloody war of independance.

I had an opportunity to fire that thing but I'm glad I didn't take it, considering the many friends who did and ended up badly injured until the high command ordered that weapon to be permanently locked in an armory safe.
I jokingly use the nickname "Frogland" for my birthplace, France.
I don't mind being called a Frog by the Limey, Harp, Dago, Kiwi, Kraut, Bean buddies I have all over the world. My late Dad had the dual American/Frog citizenship. I fondly keep my expired Green Card in my wallet, I can tell you I spent my best years in the USA, and I am really grateful for that.

Frog Legs on the menu though I would think that Escargot {snails} is by far the more popular dish…

Frogs have been known to eat all sorts of garbage, even beating the Chinese at their own game. The origins of that bad rep must come from the Dark Ages when the People had to survive on roots, snails, seashells, rats, hedgehogs...
Same for our (unjustified) rep of being unclean, quite a paradox for a nation with a worldwide approval for best soaps, shampoos, and perfumes...
