Camera bullets ?

Am I entirely behind the loop or are these bullets a brand new fad? I was just made aware of them yesterday. I’m wondering if this may be an internet hoax. The video I was referred to states that this inovation is a collaboration between Vortex and Hornady. Has anyone actually tried these? Just trying to satisfy my curiosity. Thanks.

Incredibly effective advertising for brand name recognition... pretty good acting too!

I tried some of those finned bullets you can steer in flight but I wasn't quick enough to make adjustments during the .007 second flight time! Too old and slow, I guess!:eek::eek::eek:

They've been around prior to April 1st in larger calibers-

Referred to as smart artillery, smart bombs.

Of which some are launched & some are rocket propelled.

I was way ahead on this. When I was 7 I had a bow and arrow (one). I had a pumpkin. I had a mutt that was certified as the stupidest dog to ever draw air. I was shooting at the pumpkin when the mutt ran between target and me. Arrow was mid-flight (about ten feet out) and headed right for the dog's soft parts. Using mental telepathy, i diverted that arrow ( a learned skill of squinting eyes, puckered butt, deep inhale and fast appeal to Divine intervention and wishful thinking) into the dogs head, where it briefly stuck, then fell out. Dog and arrow no worse for wear since that mutt had the head of a brick anyhow. I was glad to not lose my arrow had the dog run off into the woods with the arrow in it...

i never knew I was technilogically advanced

Well, I wasn't so gifted. I was the kid that thought it was a great idea to shoot an arrow straight up. A few seconds after losing sight of it, my brain started working. I ran like hell. I got away. Lesson learned.:(

What no M80 attached? My brother an I, the neighborhood miscreants, used to launch M80s on old wooden arrows in to our buddys' back yards. This was usually followed by a reciprocal bottle rocket barrages and us running for cover.:rolleyes::eek:

Oh, I started out with the "small stuff". It's a little disturbing, thinking back. The things a bored farm kid with a nose for chemistry can get into. Bottle rocket wars were fun and a frequent occurrence. We had some friends from New York City that "knew a guy that knew a guy" that could get the good stuff. Heck, it was the 60's and early 70's. Times have sure changed!

Welding gases, plastic bread bags and a long fuse....

Glad I settled down as I survived those teen years
Snert,we may be older, but admit it,you would still :confused:enjoy blowing up your neighbors mailbox with a TNT bomb,,,

Using an extra heavy duty leather lineman's glove you can hold a 308 case in your hand to direct the blast of a 2" Black Cat.

It sounds surprisingly similar to a gunshot and you can direct the sound blast rather well.

The entire firecracker and fuse are inside the case so the fuse keeps burning even when you have your hand out the car window, driving at getaway speed.
