For those of you attending the US F-class nationals and need a little more long range fix, the 2015 CA. state long range championship will be held Nov. 5-8, 2015 in Coalinga, CA.
Program attached.
Hope to see you there.

How many f-class shooters showed up for this last year? Any results? Based on the program, they seem to have just an "F-class," no TR or open. Website looks dead, anyplace else results are posted?

Scott,
Attendance has been very light lately, especially last year as it fell on the same weekend as the F-class nats in Phoenix. Only 3 F-class entries then. Looking at the prior years there have been 8-10 entries in both the F-open and the F-t/r. I believe, but would have to verify, that a championship award would be given to both F-open AND F t/r if there were a minimum of 10 shooters in each disipline. Of course, sling shooters make up the majority of the entries, although the numbers seem to be declining there.
Coalinga Rifle Club website has not been updated for a few years it appears.

I attended the 2013 match. I don't remember exactly how many shooters in F-TR and F-Open, respectively, but awards (Bears) were given in both divisions. Nik Montin won in F-TR and Steve Blair won in F-Open. For some reason it's in my mind that awards require a minimum of 5 shooters in a division, but I could be wrong about that. I didn't participate last year because the majority of shooters I know that would normally attend were at FCNC in Phoenix. Now that it has been announced it won't coincide this year, I'm thinking strongly of attending. Think you might drive up Scott?

Greg, we are interested, but will probably wait until next year when the Nationals will not interfere with attendance. It looks like the event timing is pretty much the same as it was last year.
Thanks,
Scott

Nationals should not affect attendance this year for the LR. It will affect the Regional though. FCN ends Oct 31st and the CA State Long Range Championships starts Nov 5-8th.
